Everything is bigger in texas!!!

Hello Y’ALL !

I have just returned from the 2020 Precast Show in Fort Worth, Texas. Between my NPCA Board of Directors responsibilities and the Delta Precast exhibition booth, I had a full agenda!

Attendance and booth traffic was a bit lower than previous years, though many producers I spoke to said they couldn’t take the time to get away from their robust workload. Even so, more than 4,000 attendees came to the show to connect with current clients, shop for new equipment, and attend educational seminars. On Thursday, more than 600 attendees met at 5:15am for an early morning breakfast, then boarded eleven buses for the Gate Precast plant tour.

Delta Precast engineers Rick Amlin, Ying Liu, John Wake and myself greeted attendees at the booth. After the show, I was able to attend an NPCA bash at Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant, culminating on Saturday evening with a networking event called ‘Rocking the Rodeo.’ This event was held at Billy Bob’s Honky Tonk, and brought the precast and prestressed industry together for Texas-sized fun, authentic cuisine, live music, and line dancing.

While the annual precast show is a time to come together for education, new technology, networking and fun, it’s also a time to work and plan for the industry’s future. The NPCA’s new president Fred Grubbe will be leading a more focused effort, combining with the PCI and APCA as one voice to advance the precast industry among lawmakers in Washington, DC.

Finally, I invite you to learn more about Delta Precast by visiting our website. If you have a new project challenge, or need a design partner who can be counted on for fast turnaround, accurate work, and competitive fees, we can help!
