Ms. Liu is a Senior Project Engineer for Delta Precast. As a job captain within the department, Ying has design oversight, and overall resource management for a broad range of projects which span multiple market sectors including commercial, institutional, industrial, government, residential, transportation and educational.

As an experienced structural engineer, Ying’s versatility extends to design tasks for box culverts, arch bridges, modular buildings, bridge beams, wingwalls, manholes, utility vaults, septic tanks, retaining walls and sports safety netting systems. She is a licensed engineer in California, with experience in the area of seismic structural design for projects located within earthquake zones.

Besides her hands-on structural engineering design expertise, Ying has developed design tools for new structure application, and she is proficient in a multitude of design programs including: RISA-3D, Enercalc Sel, Cande, AASHTOware, ET Culvert, Boxcar, Brass Culvert, Hilti-Profis, SRWAll, System SC, Eriksson Pipz and L-pile.

Ying is also familiar with building, and bridge design codes and is a contributor on a published paper about the Effects of Diaphragm Spacing and Stiffness on the Dynamic Behavior of Curved Steel bridges, Steel Structure, 9 (2006) 163-174
