Upper Lisle Road Truss Bridge Structural Repairs and Painting
This $.76 million dollar project involved the rehabilitation of the Upper Lisle Road Bridge over the Otselic River in the Town of Triangle, Broome County, NY.
The existing bridge is a 181 foot single span historic steel truss bridge. The project included cleaning and painting the existing truss and floor support system, installation of a new open steel deck, minor structural steel repairs to truss members, re-pointing the existing abutments, and approach railing replacement.
Work tasks included a bridge condition inspection, preparation of a design report, preliminary and final bridge design, environmental documentation, public participation, advertisement, bidding services, construction support and inspection services.
The project was a locally-managed federally-funded “pass-thru” project, which mandated the adherence to New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) design procedures and criteria.
