Rochester General Hospital Critical Care Center
Culvert TankRochester General is the flagship among the five hospitals in the Rochester, NY Regional Health network. Opened in 1956, renovations and expansions have been made over the decades, but nothing like the new seven-story building currently under construction.
This state-of-the-art 312,000 foot facility will feature 23 multi-disciplinary operating rooms, 108 private acuity-adaptable patient rooms, 20 private post-partum rooms and 14 special care nursery rooms. The project will also include renovations of the current second and third floors of the hospital to update pre-operative services and women’s health respectively.
Lakelands Concrete Products retained Delta Precast to provide final design calculations, and signed NYS professional engineer drawings for a 35’ L x 24’W x 9’ H box culvert tank to be installed as part of the initial below grade infrastructure for the hospital project.
Per ASTM, A615, grade 60, standard black bar was used as reinforcement, wire tied and held into position with plastic chairs. The Critical Care Center construction is due to be completed by 2022.
