Jennings Creek Road Over Big Brook Bridge

This project consisted of the design and preparation of shop drawings for a 41 foot single span precast concrete bridge located in Cortland, New York. The structure was a skewed three-sided rigid frame structure with precast cantilever wingwalls. The superstructure frame was founded on a cast-in-place concrete invert slab buried 4 feet below the creek bed to provide a natural bottom culvert per New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) requirements.

Shop drawings included the overall plan, elevations of the structure, and individual piece details with bar lists and lifter locations. Per New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) submittal requirements, installation drawings were also prepared along with plan handling design and details.
