Orange Grove Power Plant Sound Wall

This project involved design and shop drawing preparation for 24 foot and 48 foot tall precast sound wall enclosures located at the Orange Grove Power Plant in Pala, California. The sound wall was comprised of precast post and panels attached to concrete caisson foundations. Delta Precast was responsible for the design of the precast concrete panel sections, posts, and cast-in-place caissons, as well as anchor plate connection details.

All structural elements were designed to meet CA requirements for wind and seismic loading. The 48 foot high precast posts were post tensioned to provide the necessary design strength. We were also responsible for the preparation of detailed shop drawings and erection plans for the project. Drawings included layout drawings, individual piece drawings and details, the bill of materials and lifting hardware locations.
